About GAS

Gravesham Arts Salon had its first meeting in December 2016 and since starting as an informal network of creative practitioners working in Gravesham, it is now a constituted organisation initiating and delivering projects under the GAS banner. It has, however, maintained its core intentions to be a supportive space for artists and creatives in the area to share ideas and work and link up with colleagues.

Since its inception GAS has worked on several projects with partner organisations in both North Kent and Essex. GAS has run the successful Gravesham Fringe Festival since 2018 and in 2021 was an associate producer for Estuary 21. Gravesham Fringe 22 – It’s Jubilant hosted a record number of events and commissioned 3 new pieces of work developing partnerships and diversity within the area.

GAS has a membership of over 90 and is keen to work with all creatives who are resident in the borough or who have an interest in working here.
